"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"
Hello Experiences Mates!
This is definitely my first post on this Blog, so you can understand the choice of the quote by Lao-Tze!
I'm Gloria an Italian/Tuscan/Etruscan/Florentine girl!
Having spent some months on Instagram and 'cause some of my IG friends have asked me several times about it, I decided to open this digital space to tell more about my experiences.
I firmly believe in sharing in all life aspects so my hope, from today onwards, it's doing it in a better and deeper way!
I'm in love with my homeland Tuscany and I have the privilege to admire the city of Florence from a special point of view: Fiesole. Have you ever heard about it? It is a small village on the top of a hill overlooking Florence. Do you like the pic below?
Fiesole, from the 4th century BC, appears as one of the most important Etruscan cities (in Etruscan Vipsul or Visul). The Etruscans were an ancient and mysterious civilization that mainly lived in the central part of Italy.
There are a lot of things to say about them and I'll tell you during this digital journey, but fist of all I'd like to share with you the fact that they had outstanding food habits.
This is the reason why I decided to plan a historical culinary experience about them and to share it with curious travelers from all around the world! This experience called Cook like an Ancient Tuscan started in October 2017 and still goes on: below you can see a pic of one of this special days in my family home and together with 4 beautiful girls from Tennessee.
Exactly one year later I had the wonderful opportunity to extend my passion for sharing meeting a cool team named "Tuscany Bloggers" to which now I belong! Part of this team are bloggers and Instagramers who share the same love for Florence and Tuscany and the same desire to talk about them using the social networks! Thanks to this partnership I discovered more local hidden gems of which we'll chat in the future posts!
This is only a drop in the ocean of all the things I want to share with you but an Italian proverb says: "Chi ben comincia è a metà dell'opera" that is "Well Begun Is Half Done"!
A big hug from the Etruscan Girl and stay tuned!
PS: meantime if you're planning a trip in Tuscany fell free to write me for tips!
